You don't need secrets. A phone number, some photos, a family: that's enough. Naisho is the private communication tool that keeps them between you.
内緒 (naisho), Japanese for “let's keep it between us”.
You text, send photos and voice notes, make calls. Just like today. From your phone, computer or browser.
Messages travel encrypted and stay only on your devices: phones and computers. No server of ours in between: we don't have any.
No ads.

For whoever gets the invite, it works like the apps they already know: texts, photos, voice notes, calls.
Yes, until the whole group has moved over.
Those go through a company's servers too. Naisho doesn't: the server is yours.
Your number can be found. In 2025 researchers at the University of Vienna showed that 3.5 billion numbers could be found on one of the most widely used apps, along with the profile photo when it was public. The flaw has been fixed.
A company decides. In 2021 a major provider shut down a father's account over a photo sent to the doctor. Though cleared, he was left without his email, photos and phone number.
A door for the good guys gets used by everyone. The Chat Control 2.0 proposal called for checking messages on the phone before they're sent. In 2024 Salt Typhoon broke into the lawful interception systems of US phone companies (CISA, FBI).
In July 2026 Chat Control 1.0 passed, even though 314 MEPs voted to reject it and only 276 to keep it. Source: European Parliament
